Adding boating, equestrian and MTB nodes to routes
You have already been able to add cycling and hiking nodes to your cycling and hiking routes for some time. From now on, it is also possible to add boat routes, bridle paths and mountain bike routes.
In the Plaece.base, you can choose which nodes you want to add to your routes as stopovers. You can do this easily and simply by clicking on the right type of nodes on the map.

How to add nodes in the Plaece.base
To add nodes to your routes, you will of course need to have nodes available in the Plaece.base. There are several ways to add nodes in the Plaece.base.
Automatic loading of nodes via a connector
A connector is already available for cycling and walking nodes. This loads the most up-to-date junctions from routedatabank.nl. For boating, equestrian and MTB nodes, individual connectors can also be set up. However, no national database is currently available, so a specific connector needs to be created for local junction providers.
One-time import of nodes
If there is a file of nodes in a certain area, this file can be imported once into the Plaece.base. If there are subsequent changes (or new nodes are added), we can see if the changes can be implemented through a new import.
Manually adding nodes

Via Plaece.base's management interface, you can already start manually creating new nodes. Please note, however, that if a connector is set up or an import is done in the future, there will most likely be duplicate nodes in the database. This can cause problems for existing routes with linked nodes! You will then have to editorially check these routes and adjust them where necessary.
Do you also want to get started with hubs?
Are you currently already using nodes? Then the new types are already activated for you and you can immediately start adding these new nodes manually. They will then also appear directly on your website!
