History.
In the early '10s, destinations are running up against the limits of the possibilities offered by VVV Netherlands' National Database for Tourist, Recreational and Cultural Information (NDTRC). The solution developed by Insiders by then from a brand-driven vision of destination marketing is catching on. Municipalities, regions and city marketing organisations switch over and choose the many advantages that the specialised Open Data Platform (ODP) for tourism offers them. Soon, interest in the database is also growing among cultural heritage and nature organisations.
In the decades that follow, more and more destinations find their way to Insiders and the online ecosystem grows into the Destination Intelligence Platform plaece, the industry standard.
