Link items more easily with the new item selector
It becomes easier to link different items together in plaece.base. The new "item selector" gives you all the filter and search options you need to find the right items you want to link together.
It is currently possible to link items together in various places. For example:
- Link an event to a specific location
- Link a location as a stopover to a route
- Link a location/event as part of a package
This is what the old situation looked like

Example of the current item selector
Currently, linking items is done via a drop-down menu where all available items can be found. A search function can be used to search for the item to be linked.
In practice, we often hear the desire to only see items from a certain organisation, within a certain category or based on publication status.
That is why we have developed a new way to link items more easily and conveniently.
This is what the new item selector looks like:

If you have the ability to link items together, a new button becomes visible. The moment this button is pressed, a new pop-up opens.
- This pop-up looks like the location overview you are already familiar with. The overview contains all the filters and search functions you already had, but now you can also use them to search for a location/event to link to.
- By clicking on the item found, the link will be made.
- You immediately see that the item is linked. By clicking on the name, you can also open the item directly in a new window (to check or edit the data).
Soon this new item selector will be automatically available to everyone in plaece.base, so keep an eye on your mailbox!
