Encourage combined visits with plaece.suggest

How can we make sure that we provide visitors with information at the right time to encourage combined visits, but also provide visitors with more information to plan a visit more richly?

With plaece.suggest, you can provide visitors with tips at the right moment to excite them. Think of suggestions to combine activities. Or use this function to draw visitors' attention to tourist offers that might also be of interest to them.

What can I do with related items?

If a visitor goes to the details page of a location or event, related items are shown immediately.

The following capabilities are supported:

Show related items on the details page of a location/entrepreneur
[NEW] Show related items on event detail page
[NEW] Show related events based on the event's linked categories

Show related items on the details page of a location

As a visitor, I find myself on the Teylers Museum detail page. There, I see related events in the Teylers Museum and packages of which the Teylers Museum is part.

This way, we provide insight into the interesting things to do at this location. Think of events, exhibitions, deals or tips. In this way, we show the visitor all possible interesting activities at the entrepreneur's location.

Some possibilities for related items:

Show routes featuring this location/entrepreneur
Show packages of which this location is part
Show all events taking place at this location

[NEW] Show related items on event detail page

From now on, it is also possible to show related events on the event detail page.

As a visitor, I am on the details page of a dance concert taking place at the Patronaat. There I see related events that are also taking place at the Patronaat.

In the example above, we look at which venue/entrepreneur the event is linked to. We then show all other events of this location on the event detail page.

[NEW] Show related events based on the event's linked categories

As a visitor, I find myself on the details page of a dance concert (labelled with the categories "Dance", "Music"). Then I see related events also labelled with the same categories.

By showing related events based on the linked categories, we can serve visitors other tips in the same genre.
