Every month we release a new version of plaece.base. This month's version is: v3.73. The improvements in plaece.base below will be available to everyone in May.
What has been improved?

It is now possible to add or import unnumbered junctions into Base. This is particularly common for equestrian junctions.

Plaece.creator May 2025
May's version will be numbered V2.81. This is important to know, because then you can always check what the latest version number of your own website is. That way, you know what improvements will be available to you when your own website is updated.
For plaece.creator, you’ll see improvements as soon as an update has been implemented on your website. It’s therefore possible that you won’t see the improvements in plaece.creator until a later date. Would you like the improvements to be available at a time of your choosing? If so, please contact support@insiders.nl.
You can purchase new features as add-ons for your website. Adding features almost always requires an update, unless your website is already fully up to date.

What has been improved in V2.81?

Date filters are displayed by default on mobile devices
On the desktop version of the website, it is possible to display filter options on the left-hand side of your screen. Previously, if the date filters were activated, they would only be displayed on a mobile device after tapping the ‘Filter’ button. We have now ensured that the date filters are always visible straight away. That’s particularly handy for an events calendar!

Multiple transitions for page parts
If you use page parts that you can swipe through, we’ve got something great for you! Do you use a Carousel or Hero page part, for example, where you can swipe through various slides? Then you’ll probably know that you can swipe through them from left to right. We’ve now made it possible to add transitions to these. This is particularly useful if you have the carousel switching slides automatically, as you can now have the slides fade into one another. This allows you to create a fully automated slideshow of your best photos. We can make this new transition available to you on request.

Uploading SVG files to the media library
You could already upload JPG, GIF, PNG and WebP files to the media library, but from now on you can also upload SVG files. For those in the know: these are vector files that you can scale without any loss of quality. Very handy for logos. -
Focalpoint added to Sense of Place
Did you know that you can assign a focal point to any image? You can specify which part of the photo is most important. We then ensure that this part is always displayed as effectively as possible on both mobile and desktop. We have now also added this feature for the images you can add to the Sense of Place page part.
