Create packages with locations and events
In the latest update of plaece.base, it is possible to put together packages consisting of locations and events.
Until recently, it was only possible to link locations to a package (using the "Deals" module). Now, a package can therefore consist of both an event or activity and a location.
This way, it is possible to put together a large number of different (day) packages. How about:
- Multi-day festival including overnight camping
- Fully organised weekend, including city tour, museum visit, theatre performance, dinner and overnight stay
- Concert ticket combined with dinner
- And much more...
How to put together a package
Step 1: Enter the package information
First, enter the package description. What does the package entail and what does a visitor get when purchasing this package.
Step 2: Enter price information
What are the costs of the package. By means of various price settings, from/for prices and discounts can be set.
Step 3: Link participating entrepreneurs/events
Arrangements can be linked to participating entrepreneurs and locations. This way, the "deals" can also be shown as related content on the entrepreneur pages. From now on, it is possible to put together a package with both "locations" and "events". This can be done very simply by starting typing in the "item" field. The intelligent search function will automatically search both events and venues. In the future, this functionality can also be extended to include itineraries.
Step 4: Set up Book button
As a final step, you can enter a link to book the package. This can be done via an e-mail address/phone number or via a website link. This link can be the entrepreneur's own online ticket system OR the plaece.base booking module (under development).
Done!
Once all information has been entered, the package can be placed on the website.
This functionality will soon be rolled out in all plaece.base installations.
