Reviews: Indispensable help in purchasing decision

We know from research and experience that today's online consumer is doing more and more research when making an online purchase/decision. A more thorough decision is made based on the experiences of others. Those experiences are read on review sites, as reactions to products and on social media.

Pretwerk recently published an article on the influence of reviews on the leisure industry. It also contains a number of practical tips & tricks on how to deal with all these reviews on the various platforms.

What types of reviews do we know

Within plaece, we offer a number of forms of reviews:

  1. Comments
  2. Star-rated
  3. Likes
  4. Labelling
  5. Display of external reviews

The above types of reviews are largely generated in plaece.base (User Generated Content), but in some cases it can be useful to offer a generally known independent source as a review platform (who doesn't know the story of: We recommend WC-eend). Therefore, we also offer the possibility of linking the most well-known review sites:

Linking external review sites in plaece.base

The moment the review link is entered into plaece.base, the correct logo is automatically displayed at the front of the website. Descriptive text can also be added to inform visitors about the provider.
