SEO extensions: Exclude pages in search results

| Pascal Vleugels | |

In plaece.base, it is possible to make various SEO settings for your content pages. Until previously, these SEO settings worked for external search engines (such as Google). In this update, we have made the first SEO settings also available for the website's internal search engine.

So you can make pages untraceable

If you do not want a page to be found/indexed by Google, you can use the meta tag "No index". If the Google crawler comes across a page with this meta tag, it will not include it in the search index (in other words, the page cannot be found if someone searches for it in Google).

We have now also enabled this functionality for the internal search engine. So now you can also make specific pages "not findable" in the internal search engine (think for example of your 404 page, or any "thank you pages from forms" or perhaps a news archive.
