Show COVID-19 cancellations on the website
We live in crazy times. Measures against the spread of the COVID-19 (Corona) virus are having a great impact on all activities and events. Due to all government measures, almost all events have been cancelled and hospitality and cultural institutions are closed.
We see that many of you have already placed notifications on the website to inform visitors of all cancellations and changes. In the plaece.base, we also added something directly for you: statuses for events and deals. That way, you can quickly show visitors that an event has been cancelled or postponed.

Of course, it is also possible to customise the title of the event with "cancelled", but a "real" status makes it a bit clearer.
The following statuses are available in the plaece.base
![]()
- Cancelled
An event has been cancelled. At that point, a notification is automatically displayed alongside the call-to-action: “Please note! This event has been cancelled”. The call-to-action can be removed manually, so that visitors no longer see the button. - Sold out
An event is sold out and/or there are no more tickets available. At that point, a message is automatically displayed next to the call-to-action: “Please note! This event is sold out”. The call-to-action can be removed manually, so that the visitor no longer sees the button. - Date/time updated
If the start date (or time) of an event has been updated, the status ‘date/time updated’ can be used. A new time can also be set directly in plaece.base. The original date/time set in the calendar rules is retained. - Sales start from
If an event involves advance ticket sales, this can also be set up. The date and time of the advance sale can be set in plaece.base. The original date and time set in the calendar rules will be retained. - Postponed: date unknown
The event will not take place on the specified date, but it is not yet known when it will take place. We also display the following message to visitors here: Please note! This event has been postponed. A new date has not yet been announced.
These statuses are immediately available in your Plaece.base. To make the statuses visible on the website, an update of the website may be required. Please contact us if you would like these statuses to be visible on the website at support@insiders.nl.
