We are often asked how often the website is still viewed in Internet Explorer. From the statistics above, we see that about 3.2% of visitors use Internet Explorer. Often, Internet Explorer is still confused with Microsoft Edge. This is in fact Microsoft's new browser. This browser is standard in Windows 10 (it is also updated automatically, so almost all users of Microsoft Edge use approximately the same version).
So Internet Explorer is a dying breed. Fortunately, we do see that almost all Internet Explorer users are using the latest version (version 11).
Optimising your website for Internet Explorer users is of course still an issue (after all, it has to be accessible to everyone). But keep in mind that the largest group of users right now are Chrome and Safari users. So give these browsers a try yourself, then you will know exactly how the vast majority of your visitors see your website.
