Tips from locals

Who knows the city better than anyone else? Right! The resident himself! With the new tips module, website visitors can leave their own tips. An unknown gem in a backstreet. A bench in the park to enjoy a beautiful sunset or just that cute little shop just off the beaten track. All these tips give the editors' clout an enormous boost. So you have access to hundreds of potential editorial staff to generate new content.
Submit tips
With the new tips module, website visitors can submit their tips via a simple form. The tip is saved directly in plaece.base as User Generated Content. These tips can then be displayed on the website.

Tips...Tips...Tips everywhere!
Tips are linked to a specific location. So tips can be shown on a map, or link a tip to a tag or editorial category. In the latter case, tips can also be loaded on theme pages. Or consider showing tips "nearby". This way, the visitor is inspired by the place where he is at that moment via GPS.

Anonymous tips
No, we are not talking about Report Crime Anonymously, but about the possibility of submitting tips by visitors who do not have an account on the website. However, some basic data are requested to give the tip some context (think of a name+age or family situation). This data is stored (anonymously) in plaece.base. The editors then decide whether to publish the tip immediately or to approve it first.
Tips by registered users
Tips submitted by visitors who have an account on the website are also linked to the personal profile. This makes it possible to view all tips submitted by that user. The data of the tip is also stored (anonymously) in plaece.base.
