Reviews: some words from visitors!

By offering reviews, you help the visitor to make a good online choice. We wrote about this earlier in the article: " Indispensable help with purchase decision". Which site is best to visit, which suits me best? These questions can easily be answered by using reviews.

There are many forms of reviews or reactions. Within plaece, we distinguish between the following types of reviews:

  • Comments
  • Rating
  • Upvotes
  • Tags
  • Display of external reviews

Comments

The most well-known form of reviews is of course the reaction feature. This functionality adds a reaction option on detail pages, allowing visitors to leave a textual comment.

Rating

On what score is the location assessed? A value judgment can easily be given by means of a number or a number of stars.

Upvotes

With a 'like' or 'upvote', visitors can immediately give a positive or negative assessment of content on the website. With each upvote, 1 point is added to the site's score. Ultimately, an overall score can then be calculated.

Tags

Website visitors can label pages based on a number of set editorial themes, for example 'edgy', 'funny' or 'romantic'. This allows editors to set up special themed pages with all labelled sites.

External reviews

Using reviews from external websites makes it very easy to make use of the large quantities of reviews left behind. Think Booking, Tripadvisor, Iens or Zoover reviews. In plaece.base, it is very easy to provide a link to the external reviews.

User-generated content

All reviews left within plaece are stored in plaece.base. This allows the website manager (or the entrepreneur himself) to see at a glance what the experience of a location or an event is like. This User Generated Content can again be linked to other websites through the plaece API. This way, reviews can be shared across multiple websites.
