plaece.events
The smartest events calendar for tourist destinations, always up to date and delivered at just the right time.
“What’s on?” is the question every visitor asks most often: whether on the spot for a quick decision, or at home whilst planning tomorrow or next weekend. Plaece.events always provides the right answer, at the right time.
The events calendar has been specially developed for tourist destinations and is based on insights gained from over 300 tourism websites. Three time filters are central to the platform: Today, Tomorrow and This weekend – precisely the moments when visitors consult an events calendar.
Events are sourced from three channels simultaneously: the editorial team enters them, organisers submit them themselves via plaece.contribute, and up-to-date listings flow in automatically via feeds and connectors from external sources such as local theatres and Pathé. With over 100 connectors, your calendar stays automatically up to date, without the need for constant editorial work.
As plaece.events is directly linked to plaece.base, events automatically appear on the relevant location pages, routes and detail pages. This makes it easy for visitors to discover everything your destination has to offer.
