A route is more than just a path from A to B. It is a story about your region: the local winegrower’s terrace, a little-known castle tale or a special spot along the way. Plaece.routes gives you the tools to connect those stories and turn every route into a genuine experience.

You can easily create routes in plaece.base, or import them automatically via external connectors, such as Staatsbosbeheer or the route database with up-to-date junctions. This means you don’t have to keep track of changes manually.

Each route features a detailed page with an interactive map, distance, duration, difficulty level and filters by theme, type or characteristics. Examples include ‘suitable for children’, ‘dogs allowed’ or ‘wheelchair accessible’.

Its strength lies in linking businesses and locations as stops along the way. Restaurants, museums, bike hire points and other special places become an integral part of the route. Visitors can see what they can do along the way, read the story behind each place and click through to book tickets or make reservations. In this way, every route becomes a cohesive narrative, leading from one discovery to the next.

With the plaece.mediastops add-on, you can add audio and video clips to specific points along the route. This allows you to guide visitors step by step, turning a route into a genuine journey of discovery.
