A page listing all cycle routes, or all restaurants in the city centre, only becomes truly useful when a visitor can also see where these attractions are located. A list of street names is of little use, particularly to those unfamiliar with the area: a map shows at a glance where everything is situated.
With the Base Map page part, you can display precisely that selection on an interactive map. You decide which items appear – by category, tag, area or via boosts – just as with Base Tiles. The content comes directly from plaece.base. If you make any changes, the map updates automatically.
Whereas Base Combi Map combines multiple types of offerings with filters, Base Map keeps things deliberately simple: a single, clear selection that matches the page’s theme exactly.
This means visitors don’t have to compare addresses themselves or consult a separate map; everything is already laid out for them.
This results in the Base Map page part
- Visitors can see at a glance where the offerings for a particular theme are located
- A clear, uncluttered map without unnecessary filters or tabs
- Always up to date, as the map is sourced directly from plaece.base
- Decide for yourself which items appear, by category, tag, area or boosts
- A clearer overview of themes such as routes, restaurants or activities in a particular area
- Spatial insight without visitors having to search for themselves
