RSS pagepart

Keep visitors informed with automatically loaded news and updates.

You don’t have to write all the relevant news for your visitors yourself. A local authority, a county council or a partner organisation often already publishes updates that are just as relevant to your destination.

With the RSS page part, you can automatically import these posts onto your own page. This also keeps your page technically up to date: search engines visit pages that receive new content regularly more often, which in turn helps new posts to be indexed more quickly. New articles from the linked source appear automatically, without you having to copy or post anything yourself.

The RSS pagepart works in the opposite direction to plaece.rssfeed: with it, you distribute your own blog posts to partners’ sites. Here, you bring in content from others.

This also works within the Plaece community itself: if another DMO uses the plaece.rssfeed add-on to distribute blogs, you can just as easily embed that news on your own site using the RSS pagepart.

This means your website benefits from the entire network of content already being created elsewhere, rather than just what you produce yourself.

This generates the RSS page part

  • Visitors who always see the latest news, even if you don’t write it yourself
  • No manual work: new posts appear automatically
  • Relevant content from partners, local authorities or regional councils on your own page
  • Access to news from other DMOs within the Plaece community
  • Visitors gain a more complete picture of the entire region, not just your own destination
