Combine the current weather with relevant offers for more personalised inspiration.

The weather often determines what a visitor wants to do on a given day. Sunshine calls for a spot on a terrace or a walk on the beach, whilst rain calls for a museum or an indoor activity.

With the Today page part, you can display the current weather, including temperature and an icon, directly on your page. This requires an additional subscription. You can also choose a selection of content to display alongside it, in the same way as with Base Tiles.

Please note: there is no automatic link between weather conditions and the content on offer. This need not be a drawback: the presence of up-to-date, accurate information – such as a live weather feed – makes an entire page feel more reliable, even if the rest of the content is not dynamic. You decide for yourself which content to display; the weather forecast complements this nicely by providing extra context for your visitors.

Combine the ‘Today’ page component with plaece.switch, and you can create a bespoke page: residents will then see different content to first-time visitors, all based on the same up-to-date weather forecast.

This allows you to provide every visitor, whoever they may be, with an up-to-date and relevant suggestion at a glance.
